I am an artist who likes working and experimenting with different materials and subjects. I am always trying to capture the ambience and atmosphere of the place where I live, or where I travelled to, looking for the light, the shadows, colours, beauty, ruin, decay …
Painting is much more than colouring or drawing to me, it is about materials I use and which I add to the work and remove from it. It is a hard battle. A process in which I create and I destroy; one colour, one brushstroke, one intention, always hide something more.
My paintings are a combination of the real and imagined, exploring the concept of time and memory.
I am interested in portrait as well. I really like to paint children and animals because they give me the opportunity to capture the true essence of their souls.
