Hi, my name is Nathanael Uhlig (19 years old) and i am currently studying as an art student (painting/graphics) at the HGB Leipzig.

Why painting? Simply, because i love to paint more than anything else! In the creative process, there is just me, the canvas, the brush and of course the paint. The moment is everything, being present with all my conscious and all my energy. For me, painting is a creative process about transforming something in the head or feelings into the physical world. I don't want to be constricted by anything, so i don't count myself to any sort of art style. Sometimes it is nice to paint abstract or realistic, another time expressionistic is the way to go, just what feels good in the moment. Mostly i draw and paint with oil and acrylic colours. But also i love to explore new techniques and styles. My inspiration comes from painting itself and things that happen in my life.
