Relating broadly to common events in life, primarily through visual and written abstraction, has been my intent during the last six years. I work in nearly all common painting media, other media unique to my practice, several types of printmaking, sculpture, collage, found object, assemblage, digital art, design, and also poetry as a supplemental but explanatory endeavor.

I have tried to specifically relay the most useful tool that I know in adult life, both for my own well being and as I see in people who I commonly look up to; the ability to use reason and logic to maintain some sort of graciousness, peace, or objective perspective through which to view life in general. Most of the artwork that I have made relates to such a view in that I make visual art and poetry in the same mind state of thankfulness and peace, choosing shapes, words, colors, and making marks that might describe what I had seen, smelled, heard, tasted, or felt at any point in my life experience. The reason I refer to peace alongside objectivity and logic is that most people are not capable of using reason while in emotional unrest.

Describing events, memories, and imaginations in terms of relative or semi-abstraction is something like visualizing the shapes of sounds or seeing feelings. The process of converting and translating that which exists as intangible and nonreplicable electric impulses in a single human consciousness, might shed light on various existential and other broad philosophical questions, as addressed in the artwork and writings you see here.
