Concept

Hervé Loiseau's art is characterized by the act of seeking. The French painter seeks to represent emotion, harmony, colors, matter, and form. The themes are secondary to him, as his pieces are created in the passion of the moment. Biography

As a child, we went on summer vacation in the Var to a portrait painter of the crowned heads of this world, Edouard Mac Avoy. As a child, I was forbidden to enter his workshop, which I hastened to do as soon as he was absent. I was fascinated by his universe. When I grew up, I went to the Met de Penninghen school in Paris.
For me, painting is akin to seeking to represent, to seek emotion, to seek harmony, to seek colors, material, form, to seek, always to seek! The theme, to this extent, is secondary; it is more akin to the passion of the moment but I am and remain a portraitist above all.
I believe, as an artist, that you have to try everything, not forbid anything and test everything that can help creation both for Old and New (Theme or technique). Everything is good to take. My painting teacher always told me: "push, go further".
