Concept

"Maido! I was born in Osaka, love to travel and have traveled to more than 30 countries, and since 2005 I have been based in Barcelona, Spain, where I have been working as an artist. Basically, I draw on the walls of hotels and restaurants, show windows and campuses without any drafts, improvising. That way I can incorporate new ideas into my paintings and I like to have the freedom to run my pen around. I like to paint in monotone. I want to make art more accessible to children and spread the wonder of art to them. I want to do something interesting with a pen the size of a missile in my hand..."

Biography

Born in Osaka in 1974. Loves to travel and has been to more than 30 countries.
Since 2005, he has been working as an artist based in Barcelona.
His drawings are characterized by the fact that they are drawn without drafts and with monochrome lines.
He uses oil-based pens, which can be found anywhere.
His canvases are the walls of hotels and restaurants. Currently, there are more than 100 hotels and restaurants in Barcelona that have his paintings on them.
His paintings depict nature, living things, and the changes of the seasons, expressed freely with rich curves. They are drawn in layers in a balanced manner, creating a mysterious space.
