Concept

"My art aims at visually describing a thought, feeling or emotion so the viewer can explore and anticipate what comes next. My love of painting is focused on capturing a moment of time; it could be a portrait or a landscape, but it is always a snapshot in time of something intense and meaningful. I am constantly pushing myself to reach new levels of expressiveness by examining feelings of interiority. Through loose brushstrokes and a ‘less is more’ painting style, my work has opened up so the viewer can delve deeper to interpret what they are seeing and discover what it means to them. I am inspired by emerging artists, amateurs, the masters, nature, people and places...just about everything. I am always thinking, discovering, and developing as a creative person, to bring my new ideas to the canvas and fine tune my painting style. "
