Painting comes to me from an inner desire to self express, to capture what goes beyond the tangible and past the obvious. My intention is to create images that have not been perceived before. The ideas flood from everything that influences my life, a place, a person, a thought, a feeling of love, anger or exasperation, chance and light. Although I started my painting adventure in a more realistic easily conceivable approach I slowly switched to abstraction expressionism in order to create work that can can allow anyone to see with his mind what he cannot see with his eyes.

Chance and light are important component in my paintings. The light itself that can be both a wave and a particle, behaving in a way that can explain a lot of things in the duality of our existence or even the multidimensional world we live in but we have great difficulty in compromising with the idea. Light is a magical component in both life and in painting. I use it in my work as a way to suppress the darkest thoughts in life.The particles of the colours’ entanglement helm me untie the barriers that hold me back between light and dark, competence and incompetence, selfishness and egolessness.

I am interested in creating different emotions to the viewers many times using the colours in liquid format, treating the colours with the same importance that the water has in our life. Liquid along with chance are integrated in my art to take me to unknown paths, to unexpected surprises, to provoke the emancipation of the mind. Most of the times I document my feelings and the way I perceive reality.
I primarily use Acrylics, resin and gold leaf.
