Antonis Giakoumakis was born in Athens, Greece. After completing his studies as a mechanic, he studied at Vakalo Art and Design College (section of painting and history of art) under the supervision of professors Marigo Kassi, Katerina Mertzani and Giannis Papagiannis. He continued his studies with a scholarship for one more year and graduated in 2010.

The wild expressionism that overflows his oils and charcoals, levitates between medical x-rays and internal mapping, pertaining to the most surreal sides of the subconscious, those shaped and nurtured inside the contemporary nightmarish reality.
