In the Soviet Union, there was one dominant style - socialist realism. As soon as I saw the first avant-garde artists, I wanted to create such an art.
It attracted me. It was not like what I saw at the exhibitions at that time. Such art was forbidden. Any freedom of speech was prohibited.
I have two main topics - personality search and art history.
Identity Issues - ""100\% Masculine"" project. And with the themes of art history and criticism of contemporary art, I work in the projects ""Not Abstract Art"" and ""A Brief History of Art"".
All of my paintings contain irony and hidden meaning.
To decipher some works, the viewer must understand the theory of art.
I choose the material and technique for my paintings, depending on the concept.
Often I just lack painting and I use other mediums: sculpture, readymade object. My exhibitions often look like a total installation."
