Concept

The nature of my work varies from time to time, from 3D installations to artwork involving paper and fabric(batik) inspired from my Javanese and Indian heritage. But mostly I paint on canvas. My artworks vary from depictions of ordinary subjects to consisting of abstract figures, often poetic and gracefully formed and at times boldly colored and rough strokes.

Biography

Artist Bio
I am a visual artist, native of Singapore.I’ve been painting over the course
of my life and works in an informal studio at the comfort of my home and absorbing everything surrounds me. I am most influenced by the masters of art, from Pablo Picasso to Carravagio and renders my own visual and conceptual interpretations and imaginations into artworks that emerged through observations in everyday life and immersion in local and pop culture.
The nature of my work varies from time to time, from 3D installations to artwork involving paper and fabric(batik) inspired from my Javanese and Indian heritage. But mostly I paint on canvas.
My artworks vary from depictions of ordinary subjects to consisting of abstract figures, often poetic and gracefully formed and at times boldly colored. My passion is to promote local culture and heritage through modern art.
I work at odd hours, in sessions of 1 to 3 hours and try to capture the rush of blood to his head,reflected in my work. I live is to produce art.
I believe the most personal is the most creative.

2017 - Commissioned artwork for various personal collector
2012 Commissioned paintings for INFINITI car showroom in Kuala Lumpur 2005 First Singapore Art Show (New Art) Artwork titled: The Siren 2002 2002 - Solo Exhibition at the Fallon Gallery
