Mito established her original technique of multi-color coating technique. She is one of the very few artists in Japan who creates Mt. Fuji paintings using pure gold foil.
Mito was born in Shizuoka, Japan in 1963. She started painting when she was 3, and continued through her childhood and once she started studying at junior college, she started studied sketching intensively. After graduation, she continues to work on her skill and pursue originality.
Born and raised in Shizuoka, her work is not just inspired by Mt. Fuji, it is also inspired by beautiful seasonal landscapes, flowers, and animals in nature.
Her paintings of Mt. Fuji were permanently preserved to Kunoyama Toshogu Shrine in 2016, and to the Izumo-taisha Shrine in 2018
