Tomo is an artist who creates minimalistic and heartwarming works that express the connection between people, nature, and emotions.
Although it has been only two years since she started her career as an artist, she has been actively participating in international group exhibitions in Milan, Italy, and holding a solo exhibition in Shibuya, Tokyo.
His YouTube channel, where he films his peaceful life, is also very popular with 96,000 followers.
BLOSSOM tomo solo exhibition
Tomo creates beautiful works with pale, soft colors and subtle gold on the screen and the texture of petals expressed three-dimensionally.
This solo exhibition will feature 15 new works including "ICHIRIN SERIES", a popular series depicting flowers arranged in small vases, "FLOWER SERIES" and "GOLD LINE SERIES".

Artist Interviews
-First of all, what made you start your career as a YouTuber and then as an artist?
I send out DIY videos on YouTube, and the first time was when I drew a picture on a scrap piece of wood that I was planning to dispose of.
Many of my followers asked me to sell them, and that is how I started my activities as an artist.
-To you, what is the appeal of displaying art in your room?
I believe thatart has a story beyond words, and by incorporating the ideas and thoughts behind the artwork into a space, we can gain a new perspective.
-In this solo exhibition, you are presenting three different series of works. Could you tell us the story behind each of them?

ICHIRIN SERIES
There are people who have reasons not to display flowers. I am one of them.
In my case, I don't display flowers for my beloved cats. It is said that there are more than 700 species of plants that are dangerous to cats.
There are also people who cannot decorate with flowers because of allergies. There are also circumstances where they cannot easily go out to buy flowers. But decorating with flowers is just as relaxing as reading a book or drinking a cup of tea.
I created the "ICHIRIN" series with the hope that people will cherish such time.

FLOWER SERIES
I painted a scene of towering mountains and a sea of clouds against a background of blooming flowers. The mountains are so beautiful that even the cold is gratifying.
It expresses the fact that both the view from high mountains and the flowers blooming at our feet are beautiful. It is noble to have aspirations, but happiness is within reach.
We would like to convey such thoughts through the "FLOWER" series.

GOLD LINE SERIES
Gold and white lines are used to express emotions in an abstract manner. The background is a landscape. The lines harmonize with the landscape to express the emotional uplift and serenity of seeing a great view.
-Finally, do you have a message for those who will visit your solo exhibition?
The title of this exhibition, "Blossom," means a flower that bears fruit.
I hope that this exhibition will be a chance for the inner flower to blossom and bear new fruit.
