The "Christmas Miracle" group exhibition featured five artists presenting works based on the theme of the excitement of Christmas.
The participating artistsareIchigo Mochi, who depicts cool and ennui women;Mantisuko, whoconstructs "new age beauty paintings";Kogiku Shiku, who depicts the life of a young girl from her image;Kevin Hayashi, who is known for his gorgeous and delicate paintings of women; andTokyo Yume-chan, who draws the adventures of her cat using dot paintings.
Ichigomochi, who depicts cool, urban female figures, exhibits three works, including two new works.
Nanten-chan," with its beautiful hand-drawn lines, is a hand-painted work, which is rare among Ichigomochi's works. The gray background enhances the dignified beauty of the woman.
Mafumoko," printed in giclee on a metal plate, has embossed lips and eyes, and its glossy matiere can be enjoyed.
The work is an edition piece and can be purchased onlinehere.
Mantisuko, who aims to "reconstruct beauty painting," will exhibit two original works.
Christmas in Roppongi 5th Street" depicts a woman with a slightly mischievous expression on her face against the background of Tokyo Tower. The sharp, yet freehanded style of the work, with its relaxed and stylish look, with just the right amount of "clutter," was very popular.
Mantiko will also hold a solo exhibition "27 " at 9s Gallery from January 12, 2024. Further development of his style is expected.
Huang Chrysanthemum Shiku, who is popular in Shanghai and Taiwan for her unique world view with a sense of floating, will exhibit three works including two new works.
White Wreaths" and "White Trees" evoke the festive splendor of Christmas with their white and red colors, while the deep colors of the background give them a somewhat solemn atmosphere.
Kevin Hayashi exhibited two new works. The contrast between "The Nutcracker," with its beautiful girl's shiny blond hair, and "Christmas wreath," which is mainly in monochrome, is striking.
Christmas wreath," an original hand-painted work, proved very popular.
This exhibition marked the debut of Tokyo Yume-chan as an artist, and she exhibited five new works.
The combination of cute cats and dot paintings attracted much attention, andall the exhibited works were sold outduring the exhibition period. Expectations are high for her future activities.
