Each corporate sponsor selected one artist to receive an award. The sponsors are welcome to collaborate with the selected artists (optional).
Nomura Securities Co.
Award-winning artist:Tylakulka
"I was fascinated by the beauty of Ms. Tylak's work, which is a perfect combination of strength, tenderness, and delicacy. We also empathized with the diverse interpretations that emerged through her work and her own personal growth.
We at Nomura Securities value the inspiration that comes from artwork and the diverse communication that takes place through artwork. Therefore, we selected Ms. Tylak's work as it is in line with our aspirations as well."
Comments on 100 People 10:
"We respect and sympathize with the diverse group of artists who are passionate about their own individuality, respect for change, and the challenges they face. We hope that our sponsorship and awards will contribute to their challenges."
□ Mr. Maruni Trading Co.
Award Presenting Artist:Kameko Kameo
"The work was very eye-catching at the venue, and we decided on it based on first impressions."
Comments to 100 10:
"It was a great honor to be able to participate in a place where we could see the works, hear the artists' stories, empathize with them and discover new things about them. I would be happy to help the artists in any way I can."
□ Mr. FOX Inc.
Award Presenting Artist:Kiyokazu Tsujino
"The illustrations have a simple touch that is easy to relate to, but the use of colors and cuts express Tsujino's unique style, and I thought they were wonderful works. I also felt a great synergy in the way the playful spirit of our brand CASEPLAY is expressed and the world view of the illustrations."
□ Mr. Kenta Nakajima, painter
Award-winning artist:Hidehiko Iijima
"This work is a wonderful coexistence of cuteness and eeriness. Elements that seem completely opposite do not cancel each other out, and while the boundary is ambiguous, they certainly coexist.
I was impressed by the work's power to make you feel uncomfortable, yet unable to take your eyes off it."
Comments on 100 People 10:
"I felt that the volume and energy produced by 100 people is a work of art in itself. 100,000 yen, a price that anyone can afford if they work hard, is also very attractive. This is a wonderful competition that connects artists with people who want to experience art, and I have no doubt that it will gain even greater recognition in the future."
DNP Art Communications Inc.
Award-winning artist :Fujii
"The work has an enigmatic presence, with a dull, shiny texture and an abstraction that gives no sense of artifice. We selected this work because it is in line with DNP's concept of "preserving, passing on and utilizing traditional culture."
Comments on the 100 10:
"We sponsored 100 People 10 with the hope of working with the artists to boost the art market. We had a great time talking with many of the artists at the exhibition and really enjoyed talking about their work. The works for the awards were so wonderful that it was difficult to choose just one, but we chose one that was unique and left a strong impression on us. Let's make the art market more exciting together!"
□ Holbein Art Materials Company (Special Award)
Awarded Artist:Paulo Rosae
"The balance of straight lines, curves, and colors is good, and I think it will create a relaxing space if displayed in a room.
Award-winning artist:Hiromitsu Fujiki
"The depth and nostalgia of this painting makes me feel as if I am about to enter the painting."
( iii) Award-winning artist: Asayo Arata
"The work is vividly colored, but at the same time it has a sense of serenity. The balance is exquisite."
Comments on 100 10:
"It is not often that a viewer has the opportunity to fall in love at first sight with a work of art that they think is wonderful. I think that a work of art is wonderful for me if I can get it, display it in a place I like, and after a year or two, think, 'I wish this work would stay here forever. I hope that you will be able to live with the works that you "want to be here forever," and I hope that the artists, through their "alter egos," will again show us a beautiful world that is appropriate for the next generation. We hope that the artists will show us another beautiful world that is suitable for the next generation through their 'alter egos'."
