The art market has been rapidly expanding in size in recent years.
The following is a list of young Japanese artists under the age of 40 who are, or have the potential to be, central players in the global art market.
They are already growing in popularity and prices are soaring, so they will be mainly available on the secondary market, such as auctions.
1) Yukimasa Ida
Born in 1990 in Tottori, Japan. Lives and works in Yokohama, Japan. 2019 Completed the graduate course in oil painting at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Major awards include the CAF Award (Special Jury Prize) in 2004. Major exhibitions include "Here and Now" at Mariane Ibrahim Gallery in 2009, "King of limbs" at Kaikai Kiki Gallery in 2008, and "Rhapsody" at Mayfair Salon in 2007. He has published a collection of his works entitled "YUKIMASA IDA: Crystallization" (Bijutsu Shuppansha).

Isomura has used a variety of techniques to express himself, including painting, sculpture, video, and installation. Among his works, those that reflect his own background and social issues that connect him to people close to him are the most notable. 5) KYNE
Fukuoka-based artist.
She studied Japanese-style painting at university and has been showing her works since she was a student.
Around 2010, she established her current style of depicting women with cool expressions. She has attracted attention both in Japan and abroad.
