We are pleased to announce the group exhibition"Sensual Beauty " by Kevin Hayashi,Sotoko, andIchigo Mochi from September 03 (Sat) to September 10 (Sat), 2022 .

The theme of this exhibition, "Aesthetic Beauty," refers to the idea that beauty is the highest standard of value among the three major standards of value, "truth," "goodness," and "beauty," which have been considered from ancient times.
This exhibition traces the expressions of women by three notable artists, each with a different title, who were gathered under the keyword"aesthetic.
The distinctive female images of Ichigomochi, Sotoko, and Kevin Hayashi evoke not only external beauty, but also internal beauty. Their "gaze" is sometimes more intense than that of the nudes they depict. One might even go so far as to say that art should be created not to serve a moral or allegorical didactic role, but simply to be beautiful.

We hope you will enjoy the moment when art and illustration merge with aesthetic works that contain eroticism, an instinctive aspect of women.

Artist comments on the group exhibition
Sotoko
My work is based on my admiration for women who are strong without being flirtatious.
The sophistication created by the balance of lean, simple line drawings and blank spaces makes women appear beautiful, fragile, and stylish.
The time I spend working hard to express the image of the woman I admire in a beautiful and cool way is the moment when I can love my weak self, and it is my reason for living."

Strawberry Mochi
Under the theme of "Bold and delicate are my characteristics," Ichigomochi depicts people with a core.
I try to portray people who look strong, but also gentle and reflect the viewer.
I am always researching new and interesting mechanisms and expressions. I would like to draw pictures that make music play in my brain.

Currently resides in Tokyo. Published in "ILLUSTRATION2020" by Shoeisha. Part-time lecturer at Kyoto University of Art, Illustration Course.
Produced NFT in collaboration with gravure model Mana in July 2022.
