Mariko Ohashi Solo Exhibition "Unexplored"

TRiCERA MUSEUM will hold Mariko Ohashi's solo exhibition "Unexplored" from 3/5(Sat) to 3/18(Fri). Mariko Ohashi carefully picks up fragments of time from the past, present, and future and places them in a new context with her own body. The work is a work of art. The context is far from fixed and therefore invites our projection. In Ohashi's work, the relationship between time is presented not within a linear framework, but as something super-temporal, organically intertwined and continually being reconfigured. The lightness of the work overlaps with the thoroughly open nature of the interaction between the accumulation of images and the interpretations that are created when they are viewed, and it can be said that Ohashi's work has the power to stimulate a primitive awareness of time and physicality in a moment of relaxation. In addition, Mariko Ohashi's completely new work using deformed panels will be shown for the first time in this exhibition. Until now, the lines that reflect Ohashi's physicality have been composed vertically and horizontally inside the canvas. This time, its influence is no longer confined to the interior of the canvas, but extends to the "boundaries" of the canvas. By attempting to place physical boundaries in a new context, we are reminded of the non-obviousness of the boundary and the inherent historicity of the object itself. This is a must-see work that reveals Ohashi's fundamental desire to express temporality and physicality, and his perspective that does not frame its influence.
