Once upon a time, there was a woman whose father was exiled to Tohoku and herhusband abandoned her. After her father died, she became a cannibal demon and lived in a field of silver grass. One day, a high priest who sought lodging toldher, "Any sinner can be saved if he believes in Buddha." Finding hope, the old woman danced like a joyful girl. However, when she saw the high priestess andher group breaking their promise and fleeing, the old woman became furious and disguised herself as a demon and chased after them.
