静物画の中の極々最小限の場面を切り抜いた静物動画シリーズ《A Scene》の中の一作品。17〜18世紀のヨーロッパで盛んに描かれた花の静物画。このシリーズはそういった静物画のほんの一部または片隅で起こっている極小のシーンを実際現実のものを使用して再現する映像シリーズです。カメラなどの撮影技術のない時代に想像で補いながら描かれた動きの速いものの表現、この作品では、同名の作品《Still Life with Fruit, Oysters and a Porcelain Bowl, Abraham Mignon, 1660 - 1679》の牡蠣から滴る妙な粘性のある水の表現の再現しています。30分間、牡蠣からゆっくりと粘度の高い水滴が落ち続ける作品です。_____

Floral stilllife paintings were popular in Europe during the 17th and 18th centuries. This series uses real objects to reproduce a tiny scene that occurs in a small partor a corner of such still life paintings.
In this work, the artist uses his imagination to depict fast-moving objects in a time when there were no cameras orother photographic technology, such as the strange dripping from oysters in the work of the same name, "Still Life with Fruit, Oysters and a Porcelain Bowl, Abraham Mignon, 1660 - 1679". The work reproduces the expression of viscous water dripping from an oyster.
In this work, highly viscous drops of water continue to fall slowly from theoyster for 30 minutes.
